Catlin Adams, more commonly referred to as the actor’s secret weapon, has discreetly coached some of the industry’s most successful and prolific actors including: Oscar-winning actors Jane Fonda, Nicole Kidman, Naomi Watts, Rachel Weisz, Amy Adams, as well as Brad Pitt, Kate Beckinsale,  Michael Douglas, Lily Tomlin, Nicole Beharie, Charlie Hunnam, Jamie Bell, Moran Atias, Megan Fox,  Zoe Saldana, among others.

An actor herself, her innate skills have given rise to the careers of up and coming actors, as well as supported some of the industry’s most widely respected performers.

At 14, she became the youngest member of the Actor's Studio, and studied with her teacher and mentor Lee Strasberg until his death. She also worked with other master teachers, including Stella Adler, Harold Clurman, Lee Grant, Gary Austin, and Ellen Burstyn. Catlin is a founding member of the acclaimed comedy improvisational group, The Groundings.

Her love of acting, led her to write, produce and direct as well.  As a director, Catlin is a graduate of the American Film Institute. Her TV film, "Wanted: A Perfect Guy," starring a very young Ben Affleck, won two Emmys and she garnered a Directors Guild Award. Four years later, Catlin directed the feature film "Sticky Fingers," which she co-wrote and co-produced with Melanie Mayron. In 2013, the film was screened and awarded "The Best Comedy in the '80s that No One Ever Saw," by The Outfest.

Her versatility is the foundation for the artistic skill and passion she brings to coaching. Her instincts are what set her apart from the pack. She loves what she does and  invests in each person equally.  Darren Aronofsky described Catlin’s work perfectly: “She demystifies the process, breaks it down and teaches how to transform technique into art.".

Though nothing can adequately express the interpersonal nature of what coaching is, Catlin’s goal is to help actors take their craft to the highest level. The work is collaborative and the students – whether actors/directors/writers - have to be willing to test their limits, ask the hard questions and be open to transforming into their best selves, always staying true to the core values of truth and art.
